Ancient VIstas
A 22 hour look at Barnard 33.

Sometimes you point your telescope and expect to see the same thing. That’s surely the case with me and Orion. After spending 6 years on it, I guess you can say I could recognize it in my sleep. However, with just a simple turn of the frame, it comes to life all over again. This region, which honestly I’ve shot dozens of times, really asserted it’s dominance with a different compositional framing. I used the Pixinsight script StarNet to remove the stars but left the three shining belt stars Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka. Lighting and reflecting off areas of dense gas, the area appears alive.
