It’s been raining here for days. Days… DAYS… D A Y S…
D A Y S.
Last night was the Lunar Occultation of Mars. That’s a big deal for us “astronomer-types”. So, naturally when I got home, I set up my trusty wooden tripod and Alt-Az mount. Readily equipped with the Takahashi FOA-60Q and Canon 5D Sr and shutter remote…I was ready.
I didn’t expect to actually be able to capture the occultation with my camera and telescope because of the weather, but I hoped.
Miracles of miracles, I got about twenty minutes of clear sky and this is the result!
Unfortunately, the weather looks abysmal for days on end from today, but I keep hoping for those clear skies!
Here’s to looking up and forward!
