Spring has sprung, and it’s macro time again! This time of year always gets me out on my camera. Unfortunately, last year I dropped my camera onto the floor of a 100 year old pub in Ireland. As you can imagine, that 100 year old floor was granite and my camera was T O A S T. Thanks to friends and family, I’ve been able to borrow cameras when needed.
Today, my cousin Brian and I went to Reflection Riding in Chattanooga. Such a BEAUTIFUL place. Macro photography is so fun. Not only can you be in a COMPLETELY different world, just five feet from your own front door, but it forces the photographer to think about things in different ways. It almost FORCES the issues of framing, lighting, and technique with every shot. Regardless, next to astrophotography, macro is a close second for me.
Here’s my macro library from the outing. Hope you enjoy the photos, and please feel free to leave a comment or two! As always, if there is a shot you’d like to acquire to frame or display, just send me a message, and I can place it in my online store for you to purchase here: Click here for my online store…
